Top 10 Basics: Stamp Cleaner

Stamp cleaning is one of those basic tools that often gets over looked. I used baby wipes for a long time before I caved and got a Stampin Cleaner and scrub.
Oh boy, what a difference! For weeks, every time I cleaned my stamps, old fuzz from the baby wipes was coming off on the scrub. I didn’t even see it before, but all my stamped images were getting little hairs in them!

Some people say you should use this or that to clean your stamps, but what a lot of people don’t realize is that you can actually damage your stamps using things like alcohol to clean them. The Stampin Cleaner is specially made to clean Stampin Up’s rubber stamps. I have some older sets that I got from other people that are starting to crack and show their age because they used baby wipes or other cleaning fluids to clean them. Some of them I’ve managed to bring back to life by conditioning them with Stampin Cleaner, but some of them have cracks that won’t be fixable.
